FOC Supports Chattanooga Safe Bicycling Initiative

In cooperation with the Chattanooga Police Department and the Chattanooga Safe Bicycling Initiative, FOC has funded the purchase of the C3FT Version 2 device developed by Christopher Stanton at Codaxus LLC (512-576-3812).

Introduced by the Chattanooga Police Department to educate motorists and cyclists in order to increase awareness and reduce conflict on our roadways, this device, known locally as the BSMART (Bicyclist and Safe Motorist Applied Radar Technology – although the system actually uses ultrasound, not radar), is used by officers to document unsafe passing actions.    BSMARTSee the BSMART in action here.
